Why is it Free?
The Australian Government Energy Efficient Homes Package has pledged to install ceiling insulation in up to 2.9 million Australian home by December 2011. Over $3.9 Billion has been set aside.
This initiative will create jobs help millions of households reduce their energy use, cut their power bills by to $700 per year, and increase the comfort, health and value of their homes.
Each eligible household is entitled to the value of $1,200* for the installation of ceiling insulation. This means an average 3-4 bedroom house should be completely FREE*. NO upfront payment is required as the government pays the installation company directly.
